November 21, 2013 (Herndon, VA) – Mark McGovern, Founder and CEO of Mobile System 7, will be the guest speaker at the ninth weekly Security Leaders Dinner at Mach37 this week.
Mark is a respected security industry professional, with a 25-year track record that includes successes investing in, managing and developing innovative enterprise technologies. Prior to founding Mobile System 7, Mark was V.P. of Technology for In-Q-Tel, where he led security investments. In this role, Mark assisted enterprises throughout the Intelligence Community by identifying and investing in startups that addressed strategic enterprise needs. Mark’s investments included: ArcSight (acquired by HP), Corestreet (acquired by HID/ActivIdentity), Signacert (acquired by Harris), SilverTail Systems (acquired by EMC/RSA), FireEye, Red Seal Systems, Veracode and Oculis Labs. Throughout his career, Mark has focused on building and securing mission critical data systems. Prior to joining In-Q-Tel, Mark was Director of Technology for Cigital Inc. He led Cigital’s Software Security Group and supported a Fortune 100 clientele that included Microsoft, MasterCard International, CitiBank and the Federal Reserve Banks of Richmond, New York and Boston. Earlier in his career, Mark worked as an engineer for the Central Intelligence Agency. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
